Who doesn’t want to be the best parent they can be? What parent doesn’t find that there is something they are doing that they wish they weren’t or promised they never would do? And who doesn’t have at least one topic they feel completely stymied about how to approach with their child (ren)?
This group aims to help parents and guardians identify and begin to address common blocks and frustrations they are finding in their parenting approach.
What is the most common trigger point our kid(s) push in us?
What is the most common automatic response we have that we keep doing despite the fact that is is not working?
What are the core feelings/ reasons/ fears that we are protecting by utilizing these repetitive methods?
How can we begin to change for the betterment of our children and ourselves and the relationship?
These are the questions that this group will explore. This time-limited group uses therapy techniques known as IFS (Internal Family Systems), a powerful method for self-insight and change/growth/balance developed by Dick Schwartz in the 1990s.
